This web site is an online gateway to the library resources, services and facilities of University Malaysia Perlis, formerly known as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia or in short, KUKUM. The library was established in year 2002 at Level 1, KWSP Building in Kangar. The first Chief Librarian, Puan Hajah Foyziah Ahmad Nasuruddin initiated various library development projects covering collection development in engineering subject areas, ICT oriented services, self-services facilities, electronic resources, and many others.
According to the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971, the Registrar means’ Registrar, or Head of Department in University which is managing Human Resources, Academic Issues or other issues related to the General Administration, and also includes any other person which are appointed to the full-time position that are created and named as such by statute or otherwise.
Bursary was established in May 2002, with a staff strength of 10 people, comprising treasurer, deputy treasurer, assistant (secretarial), assistant treasurer, senior account and assistant accountant.
The Department of Development is the core developer to inculcate the culture of excellence among members of the society by providing fundamental facilities such as proper and ideal infrastructure as well as efficient and systematic maintenance system.
UniMAP security departments generally serve to create and maintain an ideal atmosphere and climate for a peaceful and harmonious campus. Among the responsibilities include security services and property, enforcement of traffic rules, investigation of crime and fire prevention. In addition, the UniMAP security department’s role is to maintaining good relations with external departments such as the Police, Immigration, RTD, fire and so on .
Information Technology and Communication Centre is responsible for planning and provision of central ICT services in University Malaysia Perlis and facilitating the delivery of ICT services across the University’s Campus. Information and Communication Technology Centre has been established to support the use of ICT in the academic and administrative functions of the university.
Formerly known as the Islamic Centre, Islamic Religious Unit was established in July 2003. Islamic Religious Unit also act as a coordinator of religious activities to all students and staff of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Generally Islamic Religious Unit is not focus on specific areas of specialization rather than nature to virtue (coordinate religious activities to the campus as well as advisory services and so on).
Health Centre of University Malaysia Perlis ( UniMAP ) founded to provide health care services to the entire campus community consisting of students, staff and staff’s dependents.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Commercialisation & Intellectual Property Management (E-CIP) is an official service center of University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). The centre was originally established in 2007 as Small & Medium Enterprise Unit (SME). In 2011, it was restructured and renamed as the Centre For Entrepreneurship Development, Commercialisation & Intellectual Property Management (E-CIP)
The Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) was formed to enable UniMAP to achieve its goal in providing the industry with technically competent graduates to support in nation building. It was established on the 18th of March 2004. The Centre for Industrial Collaboration depict a multifaceted organizatio, as it offers programs and academic activities which emphasize on participation and commitment from various industrial sectors. Centralized programs and activities organized by CIC are recognized as the core engineering courses and activities. These programs are aimed to facilitate the upgrade of UniMAP’s competitive status in designing, processing and producing various products with profound inclination toward engineering.
Sustainable Development Unit, Chancellery Department was established in November 2007.This unit was established starting at 10th Floor, KWSP Building, then moved and officially operates at 1st Floor, Kompleks Pentadbiran Taman Kechor Indah on December 2007.
Publisher Universiti Malaysia Perlis ( UniMAP ) was established on January 1, 2014 after being upgraded as a centre. UniMAP Publication is a center to intensify the publication of scientific works among academics that aims to support learning design , learning and research university.
The Centre for International Affairs (CIA) is a one-stop centre which will help you to settle down quickly here in Perlis and at UniMAP. CIA offers a wide range of services to international students and staff members. The services offered ranges from immigration related matters to student welfares. It regularly organizes activities designed to enrich the international students’ and staff members’ experiences while at UniMAP.
The mission of UniMAP’s sports centre is to intensify sports culture among the university students and staff to produce a fit and healthy body as well as competitive at all levels.
