Industrial hygiene: the application of basic principles in health – 12 to 14 April 2016
Work-related injury and illness significantly impact both employee productivity and employers’ bottom line. Beyond these direct costs, public perception of an organization can be adversely affected by health, safety, and environmental issues. The introduction of Industrial Hygiene: The Application of Basic Principles in Healthcare Industry will assist participants to address these challenges. In achieving the aim of this program, on 12 of April 2016 – 14 April 2016, the School of Environmental Engineering collaborated with Malaysian Industrial Hygiene Association (MIHA) and ICOE Healthcare UniMAP had organised the program at Seminar Room, School of Environmental Engineering. With the involvement from MIHA, the participants (4th year students) had learned the concepts in creating a safe work environment and protecting employees from workplace health hazards. The course was delivered by Ir Nimi Ahmad who is the committee member of Malaysian Industrial Hygiene Association.
