On 8th April, 2016 an international lecture on “Global Changes, Environmental Impact Assessment and Planning: An Application to Wetlands” had been conducted at the School of Environmental Engineering (PPKAS), UniMAP. The lectures were presented by Associate Prof Dr. Habil Alexandru-Ionut Petrisor and Prof. Dr. Vasile Meita from National Institute for Research & Development (URBAN INCERC), Romania. Both speakers were here, in conjunction with the International Engineering Invention and Innovation Exhibition (i-ENVEX) 2016 that was held on 9th April 2016.
This lecture was attended by the lecturers as well as the postgraduate and undergraduate students of PPKAS. The lecture began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the School of Environmental Engineering, Dr. Nasrul Hamidin. In his speech, the Dean was delighted to welcome all international expertise that were willing to share their experiences and knowledge to the students of PPKAS. The lecture started with a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petrisor on the topic of global changes and sustainability and environmental impact assessment. This followed by Prof Dr. Meita’s talked on his experience on planning for sustainable development at the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Area.
The two hours lecture ended at 12.00 p.m. with a humble token of appreciation ceremony. We hope that this lecture will benefit all of the crowds and may this program be the stepping stone to a greater collaboration in the future.
